Hello! I’m Sydney.
I’m glad you’re here.
I'm a registered social worker and therapist with experience supporting adults and adolescents through life's challenges. I believe healing happens through genuine connection, evidence-based approaches, and creating an environment where clients feel respected, understood, and empowered.
My background in high stress social service jobs has shaped my understanding of how workplace environments can impact your wellbeing, and have a passion for supporting those experiencing occupational stress, anxiety, trauma, relationship strain, and moral injury and distress.
What to expect
My approach to therapy is integrative and collaborative. I regularly engage in professional development to ensure my practice continues to reflect current research and best practices. I draw from several therapeutic approaches, including emotion-focused, narrative, and cognitive-behavioural therapies, tailoring our work together to fit your individual experiences, goals, and preferences rather than relying on a single method. My role is not to tell you what to do, but to support you in making sense of your experiences, developing new perspectives, and building the skills and confidence to move forward in a way that aligns with your values.

Fees
Individual therapy sessions are assessed during session. My regular rate is $150.00 per 60-minute session. However, I believe that access to therapy is important, and the rate is discussed with each client and determined prior to your first session.
Payment
Payment is due within five business days of your appointment.
Payment can be made by e-transfer or credit card. A receipt will be provided once payment has been received.
Insurance Coverage
As a Registered Social Worker, my services are covered by many extended health benefit plans. Coverage varies depending on your individual insurance provider and plan, so I encourage you to confirm your benefits before your first appointment.
I do not offer direct billing. Upon payment, you will receive a receipt that can be submitted to your insurance provider for reimbursement, if your plan includes coverage for Registered Social Workers.
Cancellations & Missed Appointments
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide at least 24 hours' notice.
Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, as well as missed appointments, may be subject to the full session fee. This policy helps ensure appointment times remain available for other clients seeking care.
